Social Activism

We do not hesitate to take up issues, which demand public attention affecting the state of the community.

A few of these are identified for being included in the awareness programmes and pursued with resolve.

For instance the tobacco chewing habit so prevalent among the youth with derogatory affect on health was discouraged and chastised with  data on its health hazards. Within a year this village has seen a great change with none to be in this habit anymore. Similarly we backed the case by medical fraternity for iodised common salt in fair price retail shops in rural areas. Campaign against alcoholism is included in all our community health forums. Any aspects of consumer culture which make the community vulnerable are taken up for deliberation.
